The Company Programme (CP) is a comprehensive and fun programme that allows students to set up and run their own business enterprise. With the support and guidance of professional volunteers from the Egyptian business community, students will learn to appreciate and better understand the role of business in Egyptian society.

CP takes students and their companies through four main stages: 1. organising the company, 2. developing a business plan, 3. managing the company, and 4. liquidating the company. By organising and operating an actual business of their choosing, students not only learn how businesses function, they also learn about the structure of Egypt’s free enterprise system and the benefits it provides.

Including activities as diverse as researching, interpreting data, negotiating, selling and reporting, CP allows students to experience first-hand the application of verbal, analytical and mathematical skills in a professional business setting.

CP can easily be set up as a supplemental module to other INJAZ programmes (such as Personal Economics or The Entrepreneurship Masterclass), or as a stand-alone programme.

CP will allow students to :

  • Gain a basic understanding and appreciation of Egypt’s free enterprise system

  • Learn the basics of setting up a business, including constructing and carrying out a business plan

  • Learn the fundamentals of marketing, including establishing production and sales goals

  • Improve their presentation skills and increase their confidence

  • Evaluate the impact of technology, management and government regulations on productivity

This includes information on Egyptian organisations that assist business start-ups as well as general advice on where to go for financial, legal or technical advice.

EMC will allow students to :

Consisting of 8-10 volunteer-led activities, ranging from “marketing yourself” to “personal budgeting”, PE complements national school curricula by reinforcing economic concepts taught in social studies and mathematics classes. Designed to simulate real life situations in a fun and engaging way, the activities include assignments such as making business cards, completing job applications, creating a budget, calculating the cost of a loan and reading a stock market table.

Through a balanced combination of discussion and application led by professional volunteers, PE allows students to learn how to make informed decisions about education, careers, spending, and investing, and introduces them to new concepts through real world examples.

PE will allow students to :

  • Assess their personal skills and interests

  • Explore career options

  • Learn job-hunting skills
