This year was the second time for Injaz Egypt to hold the National Student Company Competition. The competition was held on the 22nd April at the Four Season's Hotel and was sponsored by Mobinil. This competition presented students, ages 14 to 21, from high schools and universities an opportunity to take their business and entrepreneurial skills and learn to compete against one another in a civilized and organized manner. They formed mini-corporations, under the guidance of volunteer business advisers and business teachers. Each student company divided themselves into departments, elected a president, came up with an idea for a product or service, sold the stock, produced and marketed products or services, kept records, conducted stockholders' meetings, and liquidated (usually returning a profit), all in about 15 weeks.
There were seven student companies competing this year and holding this competition reinforced the value of the Company Program as one of the most powerful and result-oriented entrepreneurial courses provided by INJAZ. The top 3 winning student companies of the competition were 'More' from Ein Shams University, in second place came 'Cookie Co' from the British International School, in third place came in 'SLW' from Cairo University.
